Why Is There Such a Big Price Difference in Lighting Products?
No Uniform Industry Standard for Full Spectrum Lighting
Recently, many customers have asked me:
"Why is your price higher than other suppliers when the products look almost identical?"
The answer is simple:
What you see on the outside is only the shell.
What really matters is what's inside.
A lighting product is much more than its appearance. Inside every fixture are the components that determine its performance and lifespan:
✔ LED chips
✔ Driver
✔ Module
✔ BOM materials
✔ Thermal management system
✔ Quality control standards
These are the heart of the lighting product.
Two fixtures may look exactly the same, but one may last for years while the other starts failing after a few months.
Lower prices often come from compromises that are invisible at first glance—cheaper components, lower-grade drivers, less rigorous testing, or reduced quality control. Industry discussions frequently note that the lowest quote can lead to higher long-term costs through failures, replacements, delays, and warranty issues.
At our company, when we promise a 2-year warranty, we design our products to perform well beyond that period. We focus on reliability, consistency, and long-term value—not just the lowest price.
Because in lighting, the real cost isn't what you pay today.
It's what happens after installation.
Fewer failures
Longer lifespan
Better customer satisfaction
Lower replacement costs
So here's my question:
If you had to choose between Price and Quality, which would you prioritize?
